Facts and figures
The Norwegian Police University College was established in 1992 and was granted university college status on 18 June 2004.
In 2008 there was a total of 1990 applicants, 432 of whom were accepted. 33 per cent of the students accepted in 2008 were women. In 2007 there were 134 applicants from multicultural backgrounds, 29 of whom were accepted.
More than 1000 employees in the Police Service undergo further and continuing education at the university college each year.
