Further education
The purpose of further and continuing education at the Norwegian Police University College is to develop important competence for police employees and county administrative officials. The aim is to offer programmes and courses that cover the areas where there is the greatest need for new knowledge and professional updating .
The University College provides further and continuing education in a range of subjects including:
• Management and leadership training
• Operational policing skills; including close protection, counter terrorist units and emergency response units
• Detective skills training; including investigation, crime scene investigation and digital forensic
• Teachers training; including operational policing skills, driving emergency vehicle, dog handler training, UN, negotiation/interview, Schengen – border control
• Crime prevention
• Police and diversity
• Law
